The Shamrock is a symbol of the Trinity and cross to most Irish people. This is due to the most famous Shamrock legend. The story basically goes that St. Patrick used the shamrock to help the pagan druids, high priests and their followers comprehend the mystery of the Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit all in one almightly God. However we know the shamrock was already a sacred plant to the druids long before the arrival of St Patrick to Ireland. The wisdom of St. Patrick was to take ancient pagan Celtic ideas and beliefs and used them to explain the concepts of Christianity in such a way that the druids and their followers would embrace Christ and the Trinity. Seamr’og means little clover pronounced “ Seamroy”.

This house plaque is made from Irish limestone quarried from county Kilkenny, Roscommon, and Galway and The Burren. Irish limestone is millions of years old and is known for its durability. Limestone is a sedimentary rock comprised of mineral calcite. The calcite in Irish limestone is most commonly marine organisms. Irish limestone usually has the fossilised shells of the organisms visibly embedded within the stone making this house plaque unique and an interesting addition to your home or an interesting and unusual present for a loved one. All our limestone is supplied by God and nature and worked by man.
